Took the weekend off (hey, I’m allowed!), as the weather was crappy and I was feeling a little lazy, and was happy to get out to Fish Creek again with a friend. Unfortunately my right shoe started bothering me shortly into the walk. A piece of the plasticy stuff that makes up the shape of the back of the shoe wore through the fabric of the shoe and poked right into the back of my foot. Stubbornly, I continued the walk and ended up with a nasty sore when done. Serves me right. Well, at least I was able to return the shoes, as I had them for less than a month (I also had fantastic customer service at Softmoc in Market Mall, Calgary). Despite the shoe issue, it was good to get out, and I was glad my buddy was able to join me for the walk.
